"Earthshine is a dull glow which lights up the unlit part of the Moon because the Sun's light reflects off the Earth's surface and back onto the Moon."

This is a fun Moon photographic project, but it requires a bit setup to pull it off.

The Gear:

Polar aligned Celestron 8" SCT (for the clock drive).
Nikon 1 V1 + 18.5mm + Swarovski ATX 85 (piggyback).

The Exposure:

10.0 sec; f5.0; ISO 100; Manual; Pattern metering.
