Weather-wise, it's been a pretty dismal week...gray skies, windy and rainy most of the time. There were a few breaks for the sun's rays to illuminate birds, but unfortunately I wasn't able to seize those opportunities for photography - it seemed like I was always on the wrong side of an office window. On Wednesday, I checked the northern parcel of Pheasant Branch and found a huge influx of
White-crowned Sparrows...they're such smart looking birds. Later on, I was surprised to find a
Black-and-white Warbler along the stream corridor trail. The forecast for tomorrow calls for sunshine, so I hope to get a chance to get out there and enjoy it.
