There are so-called nature photographers out there who can't seem to grasp the difference between baiting owls with live rodents and feeding birdseed to songbirds. "Baiting is baiting," they'll say. The difference is quite simple, really. Photographers who bait owls and other raptors with
living creatures would not be able to seal their work with the American Humane Association's trademark "No Animals Were Harmed" disclaimer. Don't you think such an ethical sentiment ought to be axiomatic for
all nature photography?
