Boom!

When you see this (above) on NEXRAD at night, you should definitely go birding the following morning. There was an impressive movement of birds over Wisconsin last night and I made sure to hit the conservancy just after sunrise. Judging by the increase of White-throated Sparrows, they're probably what lit up radar. Naturally, there were many other species in the skies with them. The increased presence of so many birds over the previous day combind with the NEXRAD signature of birds on the move greatly illuminates the amazing spectacle of nature that is bird migration.
