I snapped to from dreamland at 4:00 AM this morning. Wide awake, I decided to get some birding time in before work at the Pheasant Branch Creek Corridor. There was a nice mixed songbird flock just before the first bridge going west from the Common Ground parking lot. I found an Orange-crowned Warbler, several Northern Waterthrush, an Ovenbird, a single Blackpoll Warbler, Black-and-white Warbler, lots of Palm and Yellow-rumped Warblers, Black-throated Green Warbler, and a few Nashville Warblers. There were many Blue-gray Gnatcatchers as well, plus my first Gray Catbirds of spring.
It's on!
