"It’s so weird, to know you’re crazy and not be able to do anything about it, you know? It’s not like you believe yourself to be normal. You know there is a problem. But you can’t figure a way through to fixing it. Because you can’t be sure, you know?"
― John Green
When Fender announced they were discontinuing solid rosewood necks a few weeks ago, I decided to commit on a build I had my eye on for nearly a year. This may be the most beautiful Stratocaster in my collection ― Bordeaux Metallic (Alder). This build is essentially an Ultra HSS (Humbucker, Single coil, Single coil) [Gen 4 Noiseless pickups], Deluxe Tremolo & locking tuners, and the neck is Deep "C" style. I completed my setup with string and pickup height this evening and it plays like an absolute dream. I played along with a slow blues track in E-minor ― super cool and sexy, fluid and chop. I'm super pleased with this Stratocaster!
