Weekend Bug Hunting!

"If, after having been exposed to someone's presence, you feel as if you've lost a quart of plasma, avoid that presence."

― William S. Burroughs

Tawny Emperor Asterocampa clyton

And yet another blog post―550 days of seemingly nothing, and then something! If anything, all it demonstrates is that I haven't stopped enjoying my time visiting Nature. At least when I'm walking through the woods for a few hours looking for interesting insects, my mind isn't preoccupied with the general systemic failure of reason that's plaguing our species at the present time. Often quoted here, sentiments of John Burroughs are always with me. Whenever possible, try to remind yourself, too, the words of Max Ehrmann: "With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world."

And so it is ...
