No. 15!

"There’s secrets hiding inside this six-string just waitin’ for somebody to find ‘em and turn ‘em into music."

― Brenda Sutton Rose
Speaking of Fender Stratocasters, I had my eye on the JV Modified '60s Strat for a few months and finally got the opportunity to play one at the Middleton Guitar Center last week. Well, I had to add it to my guitar collection. Online reviews praised its sound, playability, and accuracy to the 60s vintage guitars.
Appearance-wise, it's similar to my EOB Stratocaster, but this is a different critter all together. It has a soft "V" style neck, 21 Medium Jumbo frets, Vintage-style Single-Coil pickups, Push/pull Switch on Tone 2 to add the neck pickup, Vintage-style tuners, and 6-Saddle Vintage-style synchronized tremolo. In Olympic white, the cost of this guitar is considerably lower if it had been made at Fender USA ― yup, it's a Japanese Strat! I don't often depart from US-built Stratocasters, but I couldn't pass up on this stunning gem of an instrument.
Incredible craftsmanship ...
Ya gotta love the attention to authenticity on the CBS-era big headstock ...
Here's a pre-setup short recording of a Floydian jam. I hadn't yet raised the strings for my preference, so the bends were a bit more difficult than usual. I don't really care for the strings it came with, so I'll be putting some D'addarios on it. The pickups seem spot-on, so I'm not going to mess with them. This recording was made using Mac GarageBand software and my Mustang Micro configured with a ton of gain, delay, and reverb.
